Let
a concierge work for you
Concierges in Northern California are valuable sales people for the area. Every day concierges tell visitors to the region what to do, where to go, and how to spend much of their money while they are here. How can you get more of that money into your business? Think of concierges as actual salespeople for your specific product. Like your own salesperson, you cannot expect a concierge to sell your product without product knowledge and training. The amount of education a concierge has on your product or service depends on you. Below are several options for host interaction with the Northern California Concierge Association.
Interaction
Opportunities
Hospitality and Tourism Trade Show
The Trade Show allows an interaction of not only our entire NCCA membership and the providers of goods and services to the tourist community but also, we invite all the
various concierges that are not NCCA members, hotel sales teams, and general managers. The demand for this event is quite heavy and will sell out. Do your best to ensure that your business' name is on our mailing
list and, that you respond quickly to the registration materials when they
are distributed.
Hosting a Monthly Business Meeting*: The NCCA holds business meetings once a month on evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm . These meetings consist of three segments: social, informational, and internal business. Food and beverages are served. Should you choose to host the meeting, you will be invited to be the first speaker of the informational portion. The meetings are generally attended by forty to sixty concierges and should be conducted in a closed section of your facility. We will provide the invitations.
Speaking at a Monthly Business Meeting*: During the informational portion of the monthly meeting, we invite you to speak about your product or service. By necessity, we must limit presentation time to no more than ten minutes. You are invited to bring tangible items, brochures, and handouts from your company. Please take advantage of this opportunity to meet our members and develop lasting relationships. Multi-media equipment and musical instruments must be arranged in advance.
Hosting or Co-Hosting a Member Social Event**: Social events are less structured and offer the host or co-host exclusive interaction with NCCA membership. Events can be held at any time and should accommodate at least thirty people. Social events give you the opportunity to address our membership directly and present your product or service. We will be happy to provide you with a membership roster. Please consult the NCCA Vice President to select an appropriate date.
Hosting a Board Meeting*: The ten members of the NCCA Board meet once monthly from 5:30pm to 7:30pm . This is a private meeting of the Board exclusively for NCCA business matters.
Hosting a Board Outing*: Outing are attended by ten people and allow the NCCA Board to visit your business. We will share our experience with the rest of the membership at the next monthly business meeting.
Personal Invitations**: These allow you to invite concierges individually to experience your business or service first hand. This is a particularly good opportunity to meet with concierges independently. We will be happy to provide you with the membership roster.
Product Distributions/ Gifts*: A gift bag allows you to distribute your product directly to the concierges at a meeting or an event. All donations are acknowledged graciously at the specific event.
