It’s a pleasure to say “Welcome” to the web home of the
Northern California Concierge Association. Our organization
began in 1975, and is a professional, not for profit association
of Concierges working at hotels in and around the Bay Area.
Collectively, we represent over 60 hotels, and over 20,000
rooms, with members from the Napa
Valley down to
Carmel, and
east as far as Yosemite. It is to
us that our guests come for recommendations, reservations
and general guidance to help them enjoy this beautiful area.
Membership in our Association has a great deal of benefit,
to our members as well as our participating vendors.
Our mission is to enable networking and sharing
of information, as well as educating our members as to the
latest techniques to help enhance our work environment.
We immerse ourselves in local knowledge, and are always
au courant as to happenings in and around our area, from a cultural,
commercial, touristic and culinary standpoint. We are the
face of San Francisco
and the Bay Area, and we strive to constantly raise the
standards of our profession, in guest service, professionalism
and above all maintaining the highest sense of ethical behavior.
Encyclopedic knowledge is what our job is all
about. Planning a trip to the Wine Country or a trip around
the world? Trying to track down a lost friend or loved one?
Can’t remember the name of that super restaurant you visited
a couple of years ago somewhere in the Monterey
area? Well, let us assist you. We stand ready, with incomparable
resources and contacts, to help you make the most of your
visit to our region. Our membership is justifiably proud,
and our esprit de
corps top-notch.
NCCA is also deeply involved in community affairs.
We support, among others, Habitat for Humanity, San Francisco
City Guides, Souled Out Productions,
Breast Cancer research, and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Our members are often involved in volunteer projects, which
give back energy and dedication to this beautiful region
in which we dwell.
Meetings are held monthly at sponsored venues,
and usually consist of up to five guest presenters
who have an opportunity to inform us of their establishment
or services, and immediately a relationship is born. This
is a terrific opportunity for vendors to reach a great many
Concierges, and in turn this information is shared throughout
our network. Both Concierge and vendor benefit greatly from
these appearances. Once this relationship has begun however,
it becomes a win-win situation, with quality guests reaching
quality purveyors of service, and everyone benefiting.
On behalf of all of us who love to take care
of people, allow us to say “welcome!” again to our website.
Make yourself at home, and don’t be afraid to contact us
if you have any questions.
Best regards,
President,
Northern California
